This week: The best places to shop in NOLA!
Looking forward to all the fun at ASHA? No trip is complete for me without a chance to do a little shopping. Enjoy these recommendations from our very own Emily Pennebaker, whose hometown is New Orleans. Thanks for sharing Emily!
“You can’t go wrong shopping in NOLA! From Uptown, Downtown, Magazine, Mid City to Metairie, there are amazing shops to find. These are a few of my favorites.
Canal Place and The Riverwalk are the two shopping centers closest to the Convention Center. Canal Place houses popular stores such as Anthropologie, Golden Goose, JCrew and Louis Vuitton. You will also find a New York City favorite Shake Shack at Canal Place. At The Riverwalk, outlet style shopping is the main attraction, featuring Coach, Kate Spade, and Nordstrom Rack. All are great options!
If you are up for adventuring a bit further from the Convention Center, then Magazine Street offers many fun New Orleans Stores. Fleurty Girl, Jose Bali (New Orleans jewelry), Haydels Bake Shop (New Orleans baked goods), and Sucre (french desserts) are sure bets!
Metairie Road is in my neighborhood and is a fantastic street to shop. It is definitely more a local vibe than downtown New Orleans.
Enjoy your shopping adventures! ~Emily
